The members of Winchester First, Inc. welcome you to our website. Our purpose in the development of this website is to provide visitors like you with information about Winchester's downtown community and our Main Street/Renaissance Kentucky program activities. Winchester, KY is very fortunate to have one of the few downtowns in the Commonwealth of Kentucky that has a great many of its original 19th Century downtown buildings still in use, and Downtown Winchester is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The mission of Winchester First, Inc. is "to enhance Downtown Winchester as the Center for public activity, while celebrating its history and envisioning its future". We are committed to the continual improvement and development of downtown Winchester. As a member of the Kentucky Main Street and Renaissance Kentucky programs, Winchester First, Inc. represents the community of Winchester as part of a twenty-plus-year legacy of preservation and revitalization efforts in Kentucky.
