Winchester First Four Point Approach

Renaissance Kentucky Program
 The four-point approach begins with ORGANIZATION, the formulation of a governing body to oversee local efforts and develop cooperation among all groups and individuals with an interest in downtown.
Through PROMOTION, the Main Street organization works to foster a positive image of downtown as a unified center in which to work or shop. In the Year 2000 Winchester First, Inc. enhanced its promotional activities with this web site.
DESIGN activities improve downtown's physical appearance - not just renovating buildings in keeping with their historic character, but also maintaining public spaces and attractive display of merchandise.
ECONOMIC RESTRUCTURING involves a systematic process of determining what mix of retail businesses, government and professional services, and housing will prosper in today's downtown.
Hence, the establishment of WINCHESTER FIRST, Inc., our local Main Street Program. WINCHESTER FIRST works in partnership with various agencies to ensure that our downtown is valued, protected and revitalized economically so as to reinforce our ownership of it as a valuable part of our economy, heritage and primary contributor to our quality of life here in Winchester/Clark County.
